Clients have feedback for
the designer, it's critical to request it from the client in the form
of an email or notepad.
This does two important things:
1. It makes the client focused and collect their ideas in a cohesive
manner.
2. It provides a clear written reference detailing what they would
like to see.
16 Common Misunderstandings...
1. When will the site be completed?
2. How many pages will be produced?
3. How much will the site cost?
4. When will payments be due?
5. "Feature Creep" is not free !! (i.e can you just add one more,
a month later change this....)
6. How much work is involved in the "Small Things".
7. The number of different designs the client will see?
8. The degree of content on individual pages?
9. Assumptions about what features will be included in the initial
site development?
10. The extent to which the client is allowed to rewrite the text
they submit?
11. Forgetfulness (i.e. oh i didnt remember you saying that).
12. When the client's text, photos and other content is due?
13. When the client is scheduled to provide feedback to a design?
14. Who is responsible for proofing the finally design?
15. The extent of changes a client can make after the site is finished?
16. Who is going to update and maintain the site, and how often? |
